BOPLASS welcomes the recently appointed Chief Executive of Ōpōtiki District Council, Stace Lewer effective 23 December 2022.

Ōpōtiki District Mayor, David Moore, "Speaking on behalf of all the councillors, we are very pleased that Stace has accepted our offer and is keen to get underway in his new role in the New Year. It was a unanimous decision and we believe he is a good match and aligns with our vision for the future of Ōpōtiki".

Stace has worked in local government for 22 years including Whakatane District Council and as the Engineering & Services Group Manager at Ōpōtiki District Council for the past 2 years. Lewer says, "We have limited resources, both financial and human resources, at the council so we’ve got to make sure we get good bang for buck.” (Stuff, 2022)
